We distinguish our medical group practice from laboratories by providing second-to-none diagnostic services, personal interaction with our gastrointestinal pathologists, competitive turnaround time, outstanding customer service, and a wealth of experience with 100,000 biopsies reviewed per year.

We also offer special expertise in hepatic and transplant pathology. Our Division of Immunohistochemistry adds another layer of sophistication to the wide array of diagnostic tools in our arsenal--ranging from immunohistochemical staining for a vast number of infectious agents to a nearly unlimited panel of markers for lymphoma. Our in-house ProPath Immunohistochemistry Laboratory allows rapid 24-hour turnaround time for these special stains. Routine special stains are performed on gastric and esophageal biopsies and are prepared immediately, reviewed with the H&E stained sections, with the entire case usually signed out within 24 hours of the biopsy being taken.

The Director of the division, Cory A. Roberts, M.D., F.A.S.C.P., F.C.A.P., has written many abstracts, articles and books as well as a book chapter on gastrointestinal, hepatic and gastrointestinal transplant pathology. He was formally on faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, internationally recognized as one of the world's busiest small bowel and liver transplant centers, where he presented papers and lectured at the medical school and at regional and international meetings.
