Carrie Chenault, MD

Medical Director

Carrie Chenault, MD, FCAP — ProPath Medical Director Dr. Carrie Chenault joined ProPath in 2007 and currently serves as medical director. She was named a 2020 Best Doctor by D Magazine. She has significant experience in pathology, with an emphasis in hematopathology, and is board certified in hematopathology and anatomic and clinical pathology. She has published articles in the field of oncology and pathology, including articles on leukemia, cervical cancer, and colorectal cancer along with a white paper on changes in cervical cancer screening guidelines. 

Dr. Chenault obtained her medical degree from the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, TX. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, where she served as co-chief resident. Following her residency, she completed two fellowships at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in hematopathology and surgical pathology. During her fellowship training, Dr. Chenault had the opportunity to work with renowned hematopathologists Dr. Robert McKenna and Dr. Steven Kroft, acquiring excellent morphologic and flow cytometric diagnostic skills.
