Biography

ProPath, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is pleased to include Yan H. Lemeshev, M.D., as part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Lemeshev is a board-certified pathologist with an impressive background and robust professional experience. As the director of ProPath’s women’s health division, Dr. Lemeshev is an incredible asset to the pathology team.

Dr. Lemeshev completed his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Denver in Colorado. He subsequently attended medical school and graduated with his medical degree from UT Health Science Center at San Antonio in Texas. He completed his residency in pathology at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio before completing a surgical pathology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Lemeshev has extensive professional experience. He started out as a staff pathologist in Plano, TX, before being selected as the chair of the pathology department at Mesquite Community Hospital. He worked as a pathologist and was later named a partner at North Texas Pathology Associates, located in Rowlett and Frisco. He then opened his own practice as chief executive officer and founder of Everywhere Healthcare, PLLC, in Plano, TX, before joining ProPath as a pathologist in Dallas. Dr. Lemeshev also has teaching experience. He taught the medical student pathology and microbiology courses at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and was an instructor of surgical pathology for first- and second-year residents at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Lemeshev has held directorships at a number of healthcare organizations. His first directorship was at the Woman’s Hospital at Dallas Regional Medical Center, where he was the director of clinical laboratories. He was then named medical director of laboratory at Centennial Medical Center, North Texas Pathology Associates, before becoming the medical director of laboratory at Clinical Pathology Laboratories. Dr. Lemeshev has held a series of medical directorships. He was the medical director at Eminent Medical Center in Richardson, TX, and held the medical directorship at Medical City McKinney ER Stonebridge. Currently, he is the medical director at Plano Surgical Hospital, Medical City McKinney Senior Health Clinic, and University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where he leads the cytology training program. He also currently holds a position as adjunct faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Dr. Lemeshev has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and web publications. He’s also presented an abstract at the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies annual meeting.

Dr. Lemeshev is a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology, College of American Pathologists, Collin County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Lemeshev has full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and The National Board of Physicians and Surgeons, both by the American Board of Pathology.
